How to Transfer Outlook Express Data From One Computer
You can transfer Outlook Express data from one computer to another by backing up your data files and transferring them over to the new computer. If your computers are networked together the transfer will be accomplished quickly if you move the file over the network connection. If you don't have a network set up, you'll need a flash drive to copy the data from one computer to the other.
Instructions

1
Create an Outlook Express backup folder and save it somewhere obvious. The desktop is a good choice because it'll be easy to find when you go to transfer the data.
-
2
Open Outlook Express and go to the "Tools" menu. Select "Address Book" and open "File."
-
-
3
Click "Export" and select the data files you want to back up and transfer. You can backup your address book, email folders and settings.
-
4
Choose the backup folder you just created as your export destination. Wait for the data to be exported to the folder.
-
5
Check the backup folder to make sure the files were exported. If your computers are networked, open "My Computer" (Windows) or "Finder" (Mac) and look on the left side bar for a list of your networked computers. If you don't have a network, copy the file onto a flash drive.
-
6
Double-click on the name of the computer you want to transfer the files to, if you're on a network. This will open a window showing the files on that computer. Drag and drop the backup folder onto the desktop of the networked computer to transfer the files.
-
7
Insert the flash drive into the other computer, if you don't have a network set up, and copy the backup folder onto the desktop of the new computer.
-
8
Open Outlook Express on the new computer and go to "Tools" then "Address Book" then "Import" to import the data files from the old computer.
-
9
Navigate to the desktop, or wherever you copied the backup file to, and import all the files you copied from your other computer. Outlook Express on your new computer now also includes your old data.
