How to Remove Hyperlinks in Word 2007
When you type an Internet address in Microsoft Word 2007, the program automatically formats the address into a hyperlink. Unless you turn off automatic hyperlinks or enclose the Internet address in quotation marks, the address will become a hyperlink the second you press the space bar. Word gives you control over your document formatting by allowing you to remove specific hyperlinks or all hyperlinks.

Tips & Warnings
Turn off automatic hyperlinks altogether by opening the "Word Options" window, which you can find by pressing the "Microsoft Office" button. In the "Proofing" section, click "AutoCorrect Options." Under the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab, uncheck the box next to "Internet and Network Paths With Hyperlinks."
Microsoft cautions that choosing to remove all hyperlinks may also convert your document to plain text. This means that it may strip any special formatting used for fonts and headings.
