How to Block Spam Mail in Outlook Express

Outlook Express is a free email program that is included on many Windows-based computers. Outlook Express users that have problems with receiving several spam emails can change their Outlook Express settings to decrease the amount of spam they receive. Outlook Express does not have a built-in spam blocker, however, you can make changes to your system's settings to decrease the amount of spam-type mail you receive by blocking senders.

Instructions

1. Select a spam message from your Outlook Express in-box.

2. Click the "Message" menu and select "Create Rule from Message."

3. Click the "Actions" box. Scroll to the bottom of the list and choose "Delete it from the Server."

4. Type a name for the rule and click "OK." This will block the sender from sending more spam email to your Outlook Express account.
