Sending digital faxes using the native Microsoft Fax software can really help business needs by facilitating the transfer of important documents over fax with out the need for a fax machine. Sometimes, however, a person needs to send a fax internationally. Luckily, it is easy to send a fax internationally using Microsoft fax, as long as you have the correct country codes.

      Open Microsoft fax. Start by clicking the Start button and selecting the folder "All Programs." From there, select "Accessories," "Communications," "Fax," and finally, click the "Send A Fax" button. If you can not find the Fax utility icon under "Communications," search for the word "Fax" using the search bar under "Accessories."

      In the "TO" field, enter the country code, followed by the city code and the phone number. For instance, from the United States if you wanted to fax a person living in London, England with the phone number 707-1234-5678, you would enter 011+44+70712345678 into the "TO" field. Remember to include the pluses, which are necessary for international dialing. For a full listing of country calling codes, see Resources.

      Click "Insert" on the menu bar and select "File Attachment." Navigate to the directory in which you have the document you wish to fax. Select the document and double-click it, or click the "Attach" button.

      Enter a subject so the person your are faxing knows who is sending to them, and press the "Send" button. Your computer will now automatically dial and send your document to the phone number you entered.
