"You have a new voicemail message."

Sometimes you misplace your AT&T cell phone or it malfunctions, and you find yourself unable to check your voicemail messages. Fortunately, if you have access to a landline telephone, you can still check voicemail messages on your AT&T wireless phone.

Instructions

    • 1

Pick up the landline telephone and place a call to your 10-digit AT&T cell phone number.

    • 2

Allow the cell phone to ring until the answering machine picks up. If the cell phone is turned off or dead, the answering machine will automatically pick up.

    • 3

Press the * (star) key on the landline telephone once the answering machine picks up; this will interrupt your voicemail box greeting. The automated system will prompt you to enter your voicemail password.

    • 4

Enter the digits to your voicemail password. You now have access to your AT&T wireless voicemail box, where you can listen to messages and perform other voicemail box functions.

Tips & Warnings

  • The default password to an AT&T wireless voicemail box is your seven-digit cell phone number (without the area code).
