      Place the Dell 720 printer near your computer on a level surface. It's important to have the printer on level surface for the best results.

      Attach the power cord to the back of the Dell 720 and plug the other end into a grounded wall outlet. Press the "On" button located on the Dell 720 and allow the unit to power on. Do not continue the installation process until the power light stops blinking and is steady; this signals the printer is ready.

      Unravel the USB cord. Connect the female end to the back of the Dell 720 and the male end to the USB port located on the computer. The computer will now recognize the Dell 720.
