Animal abuse and some forms of testing on animals is illegal, yet it still occurs around the world on a daily basis. According to the ASPCA, 1,438,553 animals were used in research in 2002 and an approximate 103,764 of the animals made to feel pain were not given anything to reduce their pain and suffering. Learning how to stop animal abuse quickly and permanently is a must if you want to save animals from the pain and suffering animal abuse and testing regularly incurs.

Sign as many animal rights petitions as you possibly can to help pass stricter laws against people who partake in animal abuse and testing. You can find animal rights petitions online through reputable animal rights organizations and charities, such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the Humane Society of the United States, or you could start your own.

Refuse to buy products that require animal testing or laboratory experiments on animals. You can determine whether or not a product endorses animal abuse and testing by reading the label on the back of the product.

Contact your local humane society or police precinct to report any incident of animal abuse you witness immediately. Write down on two separate pieces of paper everything you witnessed involving the animal abuse incident. According to the ASPCA, you need to provide information on the cruel act that you witnessed by writing down what you saw happen, who was involved, the date of the incident and where it took place. Hand one copy to the police officer and keep the other for your record.

Report any animal abuse incident you witness immediately as every second could be the animal's last.
In some cases of animal abuse, you may have to attend court to help prosecute the individual accused of abusing the animal, so be mentally and emotionally prepared to stop animal abuse no matter how long it takes.
Never use illegal tactics, like breaking into a laboratory and freeing or stealing the animals, to stop animal abuse and testing as you could be arrested as a result.
