How to Use Google As a Free Proxy
A proxy is a device or service that acts as an intermediary between your computer and the Internet. By connecting through a proxy you can visit websites blocked by your school or workplace firewalls. You can use Google's translate feature as a free proxy by translating a website from English to English. This tricks your network firewall into thinking that you visited Google instead of the blocked site.
Instructions

1
Open your favorite Internet browser from the desktop.
-
2
Type "http://www.google.com/" into the address bar and press "Enter" to confirm that Google is not blocked on your network. You must have access to Google to use it as a free proxy.

-
3
Type "http://www.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=da&tl=en&u=http://www.ehow.com/," substituting "www.ehow.com" with the website you wish to visit. As long as the "Google translate" frame remains at the top of your browser, your firewall thinks you are searching Google.
