How to Add Winks to Windows Live Messenger
With Windows Live Messenger, you can communicate messages in real time. You can also personalize your conversations by using emoticons or winks, which includes smiles and icons, that make your expressions more fun. Adding more winks to your Windows Messenger is easy with a few simple steps.

Sign in to your Windows Messenger account.

Select "Tools" on the buddy list toolbar. A separate window with a list of default links will pop up.

Click on the blue link labeled, "Get more winks," located at the bottom of the default winks list.

See a separate window pop up that is directly connected to Kiwee. This website provides additional personalization items for Windows Messenger including backgrounds, emoticons and winks.

Select the "Winks" category. You will see a variety of wink sets and groups for holidays, flirts and other fun topics.

Choose the winks that you are interested in adding to your Windows Messenger. A preview will appear to show you what the wink does before you decide to commit and download it.

Select "Download Now" on the right section of the preview box. You have two options to choose from. If you choose the orange download arrow, you will download the wink you've chosen plus a toolbar and chatbar by Kiwee, or choose the bottom download for the wink only. A free Kiwee register box will pop up and is optional for you to fill out.

Choose "cancel" at the bottom of the register box, if you're not interested in becoming a member of the website. Your new wink will continue to download and appear in your default wink box on Windows Messenger.

Select the tab with the Windows Messenger icons--located on the upper right of the confirmation page. This will redirect you to all the personalization items for Windows Messenger. Click on "Live Messenger Winks" to download additional winks for your buddy list.
