How to Make a Meebo Chat Room

Meebo is a website that allows users to create customized chat rooms to which they can invite their friends by sending them a link. While you can create a chat room without registering your email address, registration is free and allows you to save certain chat rooms that can be modified at any time you like. Meebo is very user friendly, and setting up your own personalized chat room can be done quickly and with little effort.

Instructions

1. Open your Internet browser and go to the Meebo website's chat room creation page (link in Resources).

2. Enter the name of your chat room in the space provided.

3. Adjust the size of the chat room with the drop-down menu directly beneath where you entered the name. You can choose small, medium, large, or custom. Whichever size you choose, you will be able to preview it on the right side of the screen.

4. Personalize the entire theme of your chat room by selecting a room icon and color. Both options are directly below the size options on the left side of the screen. Again, you will be able to preview different themes and colors as you wish.

5. Adjust any extra options to your liking with the drop-down menu below the color selection. The extra options allow you tweak background color, title text color, line color, button fill color, and button hover color.

6. Click "Next" to create the chat room and receive the link to access it. You can give the link to any friends that you wish to join in on the chat.
