How to Retrieve a Recycle Bin

Retrieve the recycle bin icon once is dissapears from your desktop.

Most people never even notice the fact that their recycle bin only resides on Windows Desktop. That is, until it disappears one day and you realize you can't for the life of you find it again. The recycle bin program is still on your computer, but for one of a variety of possible reasons, it can sometimes be removed from your desktop. You can easily make is reappear though by adjusting you appearances and themes settings on your desktop.

Instructions

1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Personalize."

2. Click on "Change Desktop Icons" located on the top, left-hand pane.

3. Check the box next to "Recycle Bin" and click "Apply." Go back to your desktop screen and you should now see the recycle bin icon.
