How to Boot Ubuntu From a USB Drive
Ubuntu is quickly becoming the most popular Linux distribution due to its ease of use. With a graphical user interface on par with the other big two operating systems, Ubuntu is less intimidating to Linux newcomers. It is possible to try Ubuntu without installing it on a computer. Putting Ubuntu on a USB drive and booting the computer from the USB runs Ubuntu in trial mode without changing anything on the computer.
