How to Email to Verizon Text

You can send text messages to Verizon network users through email.

Text messaging is a service wherein a person with a mobile phone can send a written or typed message over a wireless network to another person's cell phone. Text messaging can be very useful and is widely used as a means of communication. However, just because you don't have access to a cell phone does not mean you can't send a text message to another person. You can send a text message via email to a person using the Verizon network.

Instructions

1. Log in to your email account. It is necessary for you to have a valid email account to send an email to a Verizon phone as text.

2. Click the "Compose" link to create a new email. In the "To:" address box, type the cell number you wish to text followed by "@vtext.com." For example, if the phone number you wish to text is 555-123-4567, you would send your email to [e-mail]

3. Compose your email. Remember, text messages are limited to 160 characters at a time. Try to write your text email with this in mind, so the person you are texting does not get only a partial message. Once you have finished composing your email, press the "Send" button and your text will be sent via email.
