How to Make a Score Card

Score cards help keep track of the scores made during a long game.

A score card is a simple piece of paper that has been designed to make it easier on players to keep track of their score during a game. If you are going to make a score card for yourself, the type of scorecard you make will depend largely on the type of game you are making the card for. Games that requires scorecards include games that have multiple rounds such as baseball, spades, Scrabble and golf.

Instructions

1. Write the name of the game you are making the score card for at the top of a standard sized index card. For example, if you are making a score card for a game of miniature golf, write "Miniature Golf" at the top of the card.

2. Figure out how many players are playing the game and divide the card into that many columns, plus one. For example, if you are making a score card for a game of miniature golf and you have four players, divide the card into five columns.

3. Figure out how many rounds the game will have in it and divide the index card into that many rows, plus one. For example, if you are making a score card for a game of miniature golf and there are 18 holes you will be playing, divide the card into 19 rows.

4. Write "Name" on the first row of the first column and then write in the name of each player in the following columns down the same row.

5. Write the number one on the second row of the first column, and then continue with two, three, four and so on until you fill up all the rows below it on the same column.

6. Write in the score for each player after each round in the respective box. For example, if you are making a score card for a game of miniature golf and player X scored a two on round three, then write in the number two on column X, row three.
