With the right adapter, a MacBook computer can easily be connected to various types of VGA devices, such as a projector. Older MacBooks (those manufactured from 2006 to late 2008), have a Mini DVI port and require a Mini DVI to VGA adapter in order to connect to a VGA projector. Users with newer MacBooks will need a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter, as the newer MacBook lines have Mini DisplayPorts.
