The iPod continues to be the most popular MP3 music player in the world. Apple currently sells four different iPod models including the iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and iPod Classic. You can transfer music from one iPod to another iPod using iTunes software. You need only to create a customized playlist of songs you wish to upload to a different iPod and then synchronize with the new device.

Connect the first iPod to your computer via the included USB cable. Wait for iTunes to recognize the device.

Click the iPod icon in the left column of iTunes. Select the "Music" tab. Choose "Sync Entire Music Library" and then click the "Apply" button. Wait for the iPod to finish synchronizing, then disconnect the device.

Click the plus sign in the lower-left corner of iTunes to create a playlist. Type a name for your new playlist. Click and drag each song you want to copy over the playlist's icon.

Connect the second iPod to your computer via the USB cable. Press the "Cancel" button when iTunes automatically asks if you want to sync the iPod to the entire music library.

Click the iPod's icon in the left column. Choose the "Music" tab and then choose the "Sync Music" option. Click the circle next to "Selected playlists, artists, albums." Choose the playlist you just created when prompted. Click the "Apply" button and iTunes will start copying the music files to the device.
