How to Get a Lot of Friends on YouTube
If you have a YouTube account that you post videos to on a regular basis, the next step is to make friends and start networking. People who "subscribe" to your YouTube channel are different from people who add you as a "Friend." Subscribers will only watch your videos if they appeal to them, but "friends" will often respond to your videos, comment on your channel and link to your videos themselves.
Instructions

Share Your Videos
-
1
Login to your YouTube.com account and go to the video that you think represents your channel the best. Go to the top-right corner of the website, hover over your username and click on "My videos." Click on the video you want to share.
-
2
Click on the "Share" button under the video player. Share your video on popular social networking sites by clicking on the appropriate buttons. For example, if you want to share the link to your video with your friends on Facebook, you would click on the Facebook button and the video would post in a status update.

3
Click on the "Embed" button under the video. Right-click on the code in the text box that appears and select "Copy." Paste this code into your blog if you have one, or into the profile editor of a social networking site to which you belong. The embed code will display the video player so whoever visits your profile can watch your video.
-
4
E-mail your friends a link to your YouTube channel and invite them to join YouTube and add you as a friend.
Be Social on YouTube
-
5
Login to your account and watch videos on YouTube that interest you, or ones that are on the same general topic as the videos that you make.
-
6
Click on the comment text box under the video and type a comment. Make sure your comment is relevant and adds to the existing conversation so that the maker of the video won't mark it as spam.
-
7
Hit the "Attach a video" link next to the comment box to post a "video response" if you'd rather make a comment with a video instead of a text comment. Click on one of the three options "Record a video," "Choose a video" or "Upload a video" when the next page loads. Your video response will appear under the video you are responding to. This is a good way to get noticed on popular YouTube channels.
-
8
Click on the username of a YouTube user that you would like to be friends with. When their channel page load, scroll down and click on the "Add friend" link located next to their user picture. This sends a message to the user, which they can "confirm" if they want to be your friend. Once they confirm, they will show up in your "Friends" section on your channel page.
