How to Add Maps to eTrex Vista
Garmin's eTrex line of products, such as the eTrex Vista, are ideal when hiking in different places, due to their small size and portability. In addition to this, the eTrex Vista can also have additional maps imported into the device via a MapSource CD, increasing the areas where you can use the device.

Connect the eTrex data cable provided with your Vista device to your PC's serial port, located on the back of the computer.

Insert the Garmin MapSource CD into your computer and follow the onscreen prompts to install MapSource and the maps you want to add.

Open MapSource using the link found in the Programs menu.

Click on the "Map" tool in MapSource, then click and drag around the map you want to send to the GPS.

Click the "Send to GPS" button, then choose the option to send the maps to your GPS.

Tips & Warnings
The eTrex can only hold 24 MB of data before needing an expansion card.
