Sogou is a Chinese search engine that is similar to Google or Yahoo!, except that it gives search results in the Chinese language. Using Sogou, you can search for text, images, music and videos. To download a particular song, you will first have to look it up in the search engine’s extensive song directory. The download process is very simple.

Access Sogou’s extensive song directory by clicking the link in References. As the Web page opens, you will see a search box at the top of the page.

Look for the song that you want to download. Enter the song name or the name of the singer in the search box and press the “Enter” key.

Wait for the search results page to show up. On this page, you will see a number of results. Next to each result, you will also get some information in Chinese. You do not need to worry about interpreting this information, as it won’t affect your objective to download songs. To the right of the Chinese text, three orange icons will appear.

Click the first orange icon, which resembles microphone, if you want to play the song. It’s a good idea to play the song before you download it to your PC. This will ensure that it is the song you’re actually looking to download.

Click the second orange icon, located to the right of the microphone icon, to download the song. When you click this icon, a small window will pop up. This is the download window. Click the distinct green button on this new window to start the download. You will be prompted to select a destination folder where you want to download the song. Click “OK” to download the song.

You can use Google translations to automatically translate the page into English. Download Google Toolbar from the link in Resources. When installation completes, you might be prompted to restart your Internet browser. After restarting the browser, you will see the Translate tab in the Google Toolbar you just installed on your Internet browser. Open any Web page--for instance, Sogou--and click the Translate tab to translate the page into English. It takes three to four seconds for the translation process to complete. The Web page will then be displayed in English.
