How to block Mafia Wars on Facebook

Facebook's privacy policy allows you to block certain applications.

Though one of the most popular game applications on Facebook, Mafia Wars can be a nuisance for other users on the site. Notifications can plague your inbox with invites to Mafia Wars games and competitions, and can clutter your page if you do not respond to each one. You can fix this annoying problem by blocking the application or the person sending you the invite to the game. You can do this from the site's privacy menu.

Instructions

1. Click on a Mafia Wars request the next time you get one and select "Block Application" on the request page once you are directed to it.

2. Select "Block" under the "Blocked Applications" menu once you are redirected to the "Block Lists" page.

3. Enter the name of your friend into the "Block Application Invites" list if you would like to block all similar applications for that particular friend.

4. Select "Back to Privacy" to save your changes.
