Instructions

Use a plastic spoon to scrape up the excess vomit into a plastic bag. Tie off the opening of the bag and throw the bag and the spoon in the trash.

    • 2

Sprinkle baking soda liberally over the entire stain. Baking soda will absorb the liquid and remove odors.

    • 3

Allow the baking soda to set on the stain for 15 minutes. Use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum up the baking soda.

    • 4

Apply dry-cleaning solvent to a clean sponge. Blot the vomit stain with the solvent, until the solvent is completely absorbed.

Inspect the carpet for further stains. If vomit stains remain, pour 1 tbsp. of liquid dish detergent, 1 tbsp. of white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water into a cleaning bucket.

    • 6

Dampen a clean rag in the solution. Blot the stain with the solution, until the stain is completely gone.

Blot the carpet dry with a soft towel. If any odors remain, pour more baking soda over the stain.
