Workout gloves prevent blisters and calluses on your hands when you lift weights. These gloves can also help you obtain a better grip on weights and exercise machines. Sweat and grease accumulate inside of the workout gloves, and bacteria can be transferred from weights and bars onto the outer parts of the workout gloves. Using the proper care when washing the workout gloves will thoroughly clean the gloves without ruining their grip.

    • 1

Fill the sink with warm (not too hot) water.

Add four to six drops of the liquid dish soap into the water.

    • 3

Place the workout gloves into the soapy water.

    • 4

Squeeze the water throughout every finger of your workout gloves. Use your hands to scrub the outside of the gloves while the gloves are under water.

    • 5

Remove the gloves from water. Turn them inside out.

    • 6

Soak the gloves back into the water. Repeat step 4 in order to clean the insides of the gloves.

    • 7

Remove the workout gloves from the water once more. Hang the gloves indoors or outdoors so they can air dry.
