How to Send a Fax Using Your Mobile

It is convenient for users to send a fax using a computer and Internet connection rather than a bulky machine. Send an online fax using your cell phone to send an email to an online fax email address, or by browsing a fax service's website from your phone's browser. These options allow users more flexibility as they can send a fax from any place where they have cell phone reception.

Things You'll Need

• Cell phone or smart phone with camera
• Online fax service account

Instructions

1. Shoot a picture from your cell phone's camera if you wish to send it using online fax service. Convert the picture file to either an Adobe PDF file or Word document by using applications provided by your cell phone manufacturer or by using third-party applications provided by smart phone applications.

2. Open an online fax service website such as "myfax" or "faxZERO" from your cell phone's web browser using the website addresses provided in the Resources section of this article.

3. Enter your details such as name, email address, company name and a fax number in the sender's information. If you do not have a fax number, leave the "Fax Number" field blank.

4. Enter the receiver's information such as name, fax number and company name.

5. Click the "Browse" button on the "Fax Information" / "Fax Message" menu and select the word document (.doc extension) or Adobe PDF (.pdf extension) file from your cell phone's folder to send it to the recipient through online fax. Type a text message in the text box provided if you do not have any file attachments.

6. Enter the displayed code, if any, in the "Confirmation Code" text box and click the "Send Fax" / "Send Free Fax Now" button to send the online fax to recipient at the specified fax number.
