DIY Wedding Card Box
Instead of purchasing a wedding card holder, you can make your own for your big day. If you plan to throw a large wedding, the typical card holders sold at stores will not accommodate all of the cards and greetings that you will receive. You can make inexpensive and attractive card boxes that match the decor of your wedding.
Things You'll Need

1
Purchase or reuse a square box. You can find a box at most box supply and moving stores. The box's size depends on how many guests you're expecting. You also can make two boxes to place at each end of the gift table if you do not want to make an oversized box.
-
2
Tape both ends of the box closed. Apply the tape on evenly so that the wrinkles will not show through.

3
Cut a 4- to 6-inch horizontal slit on the top of the box. This opening needs to be large enough to accommodate most greeting cards.
-
4
Wrap the box neatly with wrapping paper. Choose a wrapping paper that matches the theme of your wedding, or wrap the box in a wedding-themed paper. Tape the box neatly so that it looks presentable.
-
5
Cut the wrapping paper in the same location where you cut the horizontal line for the cards. Use sharp scissors to make the cut even. Trim the edges of the wrapping paper and tape it so it looks finished.
-
6
Wrap ribbon around the box and tie it in a bow. The wedding card box will look like a gift on your table. You can place a printed sign that reads "Gifts" on the box, or make a gift tag for the box that indicates to the guests where to place their cards to prevent any confusion.
