Apply most of the coconut oil to the ends of your damp hair. Save about a third of the oil for distribution through the middle and top.

Distribute the oil evenly and lightly. Use your fingers to slowly work your way up your hair. Apply most of the oil to the ends, less in the middle and very little or none at the top. Do not apply the oil to your roots. This will cause the hair to look greasy.

Style your hair as desired without rinsing out the coconut oil.
