How to Write an Invitation With RSVPs

How to Write an Invitation With RSVPs thumbnail
Send out invitations with RSVP requests to get a rough estimate of guests attending.

Before you mail party invitations, you need to check them over and verify you have asked guests to RSVP. Many people don't realize RSVP is an abbreviated form of the French phrase "respondez-vous s'il vous plait," which roughly translates to "please respond." They do understand, however, that you want them to contact you with an affirmation or declination of their attendance at your event. Encourage guests to RSVP by making it simple. Give them a phone number to call or text with their answer to the invitation. Does this Spark an idea?
