How to Install Windows Server 2000 in VirtualBox
VirtualBox is emulation software enabling you to use Windows operating systems within a Linux environment. Installing Windows Server 2000 to your VirtualBox program allows you to use the features of Windows Server 2000 without subjecting your entire computer to running strictly a Microsoft-based operating system. The installation procedure takes between 30 and 60 minutes.

Insert a Windows Server 2000 installation disc into your computer.

Open VirtualBox and click "New." Enter a name for your virtual machine and select "Windows 2000" from the drop-down list.

Move the slider to assign at least 512MB of RAM to your system. Select the hard drive you wish to use for your virtual machine and select the "Dynamically expanding image" type. Click "Finish" to finish creating your virtual machine.

Select your new machine from the list and click "Settings." Click "Advanced" and select "CD-ROM" from the "Boot Order" device. Click "CD-ROM," check "Mount CD-ROM" and click "Host CD-ROM."

Click your virtual machine and press "Start." Press any key when prompted to boot from the install CD. Press "Enter" at the first screen, "C" at the warning screen and "F8" at the license agreement.

Highlight the drive letter upon which you wish to install Windows Server 2000 and press "Enter." Input your name, desired password, product key and network information to complete the installation.
