Instructions

1
Cut a portion of Pex tubing to the desired length using a utility knife. Push the tubing forward into the mouth of the QickClamp (tool) until the tubing meets resistance and is plainly visible in the sight hole located at the top of the tool. Make sure the tab located on the inside the tool stays on the outside of the tubing to help secure it in place.
-
2
Push a QickClamp fitting into the tubing held by the tool until the shoulder of the fitting begins to lightly touch the tool. Do not insert the fitting too deeply into the tubing. Partially open the tool by slowly turning the tension release knob in the counter clockwise direction. Next, rotate the tool jaws so that they engulf the QickClamp pinch ears completely (tabs located on the Pex QickClamp fitting).

3
Hold the tool at a 90 degree angle to the Pex tubing, then slowly squeeze the tool closed by squeezing the tool handle uniformly. Continue to squeeze, then squeeze again (the tool will ratchet each time you release the pressure) until the red LED light illuminates, signaling that enough compression has been attained to ensure a full complete connection with the tubing. This may require up to seven "squeezes" of the handle.
-
4
Verify that the red LED light is illuminated before releasing the tool when the task is complete. Open the tool by releasing the handles, then slowly turning the release knob in the counter-clockwise direction. Look to be sure that a good secure tubing connection has been completed. If not, cut out the connection and repeat the steps.
