1
Remove the head pillow/head rest from the tanning bed. If you rest your head on a pillow/head rest, the back of your neck will not be exposed to tanning bed rays. When you lie on your chest, simply rest your forehead on the tanning bed or hold your head up.
-
2
Keep your arms spread out from your sides and your legs spread apart from each other. This will allow the tanning bed rays to disperse on the sides of your arms and legs.

3
Flip over halfway through your tanning time. For example, if you requested a 10-minute tan, flip over at the 5-minute mark and rest on your chest. Most tanning salons have a timer that beeps when your tanning session is halfway done.

Put your hands on the back of your head when you are tanning on your chest. This will completely expose your armpits and the inside of the arms to the tanning bed rays.
