How to Create a Bronzer With Lotion

Bronzer lotion combines lotion and mica like what is found in mineral makeup.

Bronzing lotion adds hints of color to your complexion for a slightly sun-kissed glow. It takes away the need for tanning lotions and exposure to sunlight when you really just need an extra glowing boost. Making your own bronzer with lotion provides you with an enriching endeavor that results in a new and glowing complexion for you and your friends.

Things You'll Need

• Unscented lotion base, 16 ounces
• Mica powder in bronze, pink and pearl white
• 20-ounce lotion bottle with pump top

Instructions

Lotion Base Recipe

1. Pour the lotion base into a 20-ounce plastic bottle. You can obtain lotion base from many craft supply stores and online vendors.

2. Mix approximately 1 tablespoon each of pink, bronze and pearl-white mica powder into the bottle of lotion base.

3. Cap the bottle and shake it vigorously for about three minutes, or until every bit of the mica powder has dispersed throughout the bottle. If necessary, remove the cap and stir the contents of the bottle with a long and skinny object, such as a butter knife or something similar.

The Easy Way

1. Obtain a bottle of unscented lotion from your local department store or supermarket. As long as the lotion doesn't contain any dyes or scents in it, it can serve as a base for your bronzer.

2. Select some eyeshadow or powdered bronzer from the store or use some that you may currently have. Crush a combination of pink, bronze and pearl colored mica makeup together.

3. Add the crushed bronzer to the lotion you have chosen. Cap the lotion bottle and shake the contents vigorously until it mixes thoroughly.
