Things You'll Need

  • 2 old, clean socks
  • Baking soda
  • Fabric softer sheets
  • Foot antiperspirant

Instructions

      Fill two old, clean socks with baking soda. Tie off the openings of the socks to prevent the baking soda from leaking out.

      Insert the socks filled with baking soda into the leather sandals to absorb the odors. Place fabric softener sheets inside the leather sandals to absorb moisture.

      Allow the socks and fabric softeners to remain in the sandals overnight. In the morning, inspect the sandals for remaining odors.

      Sprinkle 3 tbsp. of baking soda into each leather sandal, if odors remain. Allow the baking soda to remain inside the sandals overnight.

      Pour the baking soda out of the shoes in the morning. Spray a foot antiperspirant inside the leather sandals before wearing them.

  • Scented baby powder can be used instead of baking soda.
