How to Get Ohio State Football Season Tickets

How to Get Ohio State Football Season Tickets thumbnail
Season tickets at Ohio State require considerable donations to the university.

Eligibility for Ohio State college football season tickets is open to anyone, but conditions do apply. Prior to receiving a ticket application, an applicant must first join either the Buckeye Club or the President's Club. The Buckeye Club is an athletics booster club which requires a minimum donation of $1,500 for a chance to purchase two season tickets. The President's Club is a recognition by the university for individuals who donate at least $2,500 in a calendar year toward academic endeavors. Size of donation determines status level within each club and location of season tickets.

Instructions

  1. Buckeye Club

    • 1

Register for a membership in the Buckeye Club by using the Ohio State official athletics website (see Resources). The registration form is a one page online document that must be filled out and submitted to the Ohio State Athletic Department. Submission is done electronically through the website.

    • 2

Determine your level of donation for the Buckeye Club. Ticket privileges begin at the Scarlet and Gray level, which requires a minimum annual donation of $1,500. The Big Ten Champions level begins at $2,500 and includes additional golf course access and priority tickets to away games and bowl games. At $5,000, the National Champions level includes the opportunity to purchase a parking pass, while membership in the $10,000 Scholar-Athlete level includes an invitation to the scholar-athlete banquet and annual department of athletics event.

    • 3

Indicate any special instructions for your donation. This may include earmarking your donation to a specific athletic program or for the construction of a specific venue or project. Special instructions for money not directed at football will not affect your football application eligibility.

    • 4

Complete the football season ticket application and return it to the Ohio State ticket office during the ordering season of March. The location of your tickets are based on the Ohio State priority point system. The system adds four percent of the current year's donation to two percent of the donations made in previous years. Thus, larger donations and donations made over an extended number of years result in the best available tickets.

    President's Club

    • 5

Contact the Ohio State University President's Club directly about making a donation to support the institution's academic programs. The President's Club restricts member eligibility only to those who donate to academics, health sciences or art.

    • 6

Determine which level of donation you wish to make. The minimum donation is $2,500 for the support level that qualifies for football tickets. Like the Buckeye Club, season ticket seat locations are determined using the point system. Thus, larger donations will result in better seats.

    • 7

Submit your donation to the President's Club. Donation tallies are made on an annual calendar year basis. Donations in a calendar year determine eligibility for the subsequent year's membership. Thus, any donations up until Dec. 31 result in President's Club membership and ticket eligibility for the next year's football season.

    • 8

Complete your ticket application request during the March ordering season. Season ticket applications for both Buckeye Club members and President's Club members are available during the month of March for the upcoming football season.
