How to Find Your Nearest Post Office
Most people only think of the United States Postal Service as a six-day-a-week mail delivery service and worry about the agency staying afloat as it transitions into the Internet age. They often forget about the other services provided to consumers, including the ability to purchase money orders, apply for passports, calculate postage, schedule pickups, aid in finding missing and exploited children, provide jobs and print shipping labels, all at a nearby neighborhood location.

Select "Post office locations" in the "What are you looking for?" drop-down box on the service locator. Click the "search" button, which will return a map and listing of the post office nearest to your desired street address.

Consult your local telephone directory to find the nearest post office location.
A telephone directory contains an alphabetical listing of government agency telephone numbers, addresses and other information within a particular geographical area. Governmental agencies are usually listed in the white (or blue, depending on the local directory) pages, but each book contains instructions on where to find the information.
