How to Clean Vinyl Blinds
Vinyl blinds are good for their practicality and affordability. However, they are often dust magnets.They become filthy in a hurry and can develop a dust shadow if they are not cleaned enough. Luckily, cleaning vinyl blinds can be a quick and easy process for most people when they follow a few steps. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Clean sheet
- Mild dish detergent
- Bucket of warm water
- Car washing brush
- Garden hose

Close the blinds and remove them from your window.

Lay out the clean sheet outside and place the blinds on top of it.

Place a few drops of mild dish detergent into a bucket of warm water and mix.

Apply the mixture of soap and water onto the blinds using the car washing brush. Be gentle and use parallel strokes.

Flip the vinyl blinds over on the clean sheet and repeat this process on the other side of the blinds.

Delicately wash off the soap using the garden hose. Tilt the blinds at an angle so that the water can properly run off.

Hang the vinyl blinds up outside and allow them to completely dry off.

Re-attach them to your window once dried.

Tips & Warnings
Do not use hot water on your blinds. Lukewarm is the ideal temperature.
Vinyl blinds are delicate, so be gentle when brushing and hosing them off.
