How to Make Avocado Face Masks
While you may have had to tighten your budget, that's no reason to neglect basic personal care. There are plenty of frugal options for keeping your skin supple and nourished. In fact, the simplest ingredients, found at your average grocery store, can make effective skincare products. Masks infuse your skin with healthy oils, while also helping to clear pores. Things You'll Need
- Fully ripe avocado
- Medium kitchen knife
- Spoon
- Small kitchen bowl or dessert plate
- Fork
- Washcloth
- Mild soap

Slice the avocado in half, beginning from the smaller tip, cutting towards the wider base and ending back at the top.

Twist your avocado to release one section from the seed.

Remove the seed from the other section, gently leveraging the tip of your knife between the seed and the flesh. Discard seed.

Scoop the flesh of the avocado away from the skin, using the spoon. Place the flesh in the small bowl or on the dessert plate.

Smash the avocado flesh with the fork, creating a creamy consistency.

Prepare your face for the avocado face mask, gently washing in warm water with the washcloth and mild soap. Air dry.

Spread avocado on your clean face, avoiding the hairline, nose and eye areas.

Allow the avocado mask to remain on your skin for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Remove all traces of avocado with a warm washcloth.

Rinse your face with cool water to close your pores.
