  1. How to Make a Mailing List Using Excel

      Click on the "Start" button, located at the bottom left corner of the task bar. Go to "All programs" then select, and click on "Microsoft Office" then "Microsoft Excel." A new blank spreadsheet will open up in Excel.

      Enter data in each field, in the order of first name, last name, address, city, country, state and zipcode. After typing in each cell, press the "Tab" key to go to the next cell. For example, type the first name in cell A1 then press the "Tab" key to go to cell B1, then type the last name. Continue in the same order until you are finished. Save your work, the move to the next step.

      Open Microsoft Office Word and choose the template that you would like to use for your mailing labels. Click on the "Mailings" tab, "Start Mail Merge" then, "Step by Step Mail Merge Wizard." The "Mail Merge Wizard" will appear.

      Select your choice of document type, then "Next" to continue. Click on "Use and Existing," "Browse," "Open," "Select Sheet" then "OK." Select and click on "Greeting Line." Review everything to make sure that you are satisfied, then click "Complete the Merge."

  • Save your work regularly by holding down the Ctrl + the S key.
