How to Convert Real Player to Windows Media Player With Freeware

Real Player is the main video player designed by RealNetworks for the RealVideo video and audio file format. Windows Media Player is the multimedia player designed by Microsoft. WMA is the proprietary format for audio with Windows Media Player and WMV is the proprietary video format for Windows Media Player. Real Player cannot be converted to Windows Media Player because they are both two different applications, however the associated video files, RealVideo and WMV, can be converted to be compatible with the other.

Instructions

Convert Using Boilsoft RM Converter

1. Download, install and open Boilsoft Rm Converter. Scroll down to "RM Converter" and click "Download Now."

2. Click "Add," locate and double-click your RealVideo file.

3. Click "To WMV" under "Output Format."

4. Click the "…" next to "Output File" and choose a destination folder.

5. Click "Convert" to convert RealVideo for Windows Media.

Convert Using Xilisoft RM Converter

1. Download, install and open Xilisoft Rm Converter. A trial demo is available by clicking "Free Download"

2. Click "File" and then "Add File." Locate and then double-click your RealVideo file(s).

3. Click the "Profile" drop-down menu and choose "WMV - Windows Media Video."

4. Click the "Convert" icon (to the left of the Pause and Stop icons on taskbar) to convert your RealVideo for Windows Media.

Convert Using RiverPast Video Cleaner

1. Download, install and open RiverPast Video Cleaner. Click "Download" under "Download Installers."

2. Click the "Add files…" button o the toolbar and locate your RealVideo files. Select them and click "Open."

3. Click the "File Type" drop-down menu underneath "Output Format" and choose WMV - Windows Media Video."

4. Click "Specify" and then "Browse" under "Output directory" to choose a destination for your converted video.

5. Click "Convert" to convert your RealVideo for Windows Media Player.
