How to Install Vinyl Letters
Adhesive vinyl lettering is convenient for creating professional looking text on signs, windows and the sides of cars. Full text along with artwork or a logo is laser cut by a sign company per your specifications. The lettering that is sent to you is attached to application paper for convenient installation.

1
Clean the surface where the lettering will be installed thoroughly with soap and water to remove any dirt or other matter that will interfere with proper adhesion of the lettering. Dry the surface with a lint-free towel.
-
2
Place a piece of masking tape at both of the top corners of the application paper and affix it to the surface.
-
-
3
Place a level at the bottom of the application paper and re-affix as needed to straighten the lettering.
-
4
Tape the entire top edge of the application paper to ensure it stays in place through the installation process.
-
5
Lift the application paper up and peel away the protective backing to reveal the adhesive side. Large signs can be cut into multiple sections to make removal of the backing more manageable.
-
6
Gradually roll the application paper back on to the surface, simultaneously smoothing it down with a squeegee.
-
7
Pull the application paper off the window starting at a top corner and working toward the opposing bottom corner. The application paper is less sticky than the lettering, so as you remove the application paper, the letters will remain adhered to the surface.
-
8
Remove any air bubbles that may have formed under letters by puncturing them with a pin.
