How to Change the Frequency on a Pioneer Remote Control
The Pioneer remote control is a device that works with Pioneer brand A/V receivers. The remote control lets the user change many radio settings. If you want to listen to a radio station, you need to change the frequency on the remote to match the radio station's frequency. You can type in the call numbers of the station directly on your remote. This is a function that is not available on the Pioneer receiver.

Hit the "Multicontrol Tuner" button on the remote control. It is located in the second row from the top.

Hit the "Band" button to select either FM or AM radio. This button is found directly below the circular keypad. Keep hitting "Band" until it lands on the one you want.

Hit the "D Access" button on the remote. It means "Direct Access." This button is located one row beneath "Band."

Type in the radio station's frequency using the keypad on the remote control. For example, if the radio station you want to listen to is "102.9," type in "1-0-2-9." Wait for the radio station to change to that frequency.

Tips & Warnings
If you type in the wrong frequency, hit "D Access" two times and then type in the correct frequency numbers.
