How to Make Honey Soap

How to Make Honey Soap thumbnail
Make your own honey soap in a few simple steps.

Instead of buying soap at the store, make your own at home in a few easy steps. To make honey soap, you will need some base glycerin soaps. You can buy clear glycerin and goat's milk glycerin soap from online soap supply stores or at some local craft stores. You can add additional ingredients to further customize your soap and give it different smells and colors, such as oatmeal, essential oils or coconut oil.

  • 2 microwave-safe containers
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • Microwave

Instructions

    • 1

Place the clear glycerin soap and honey in a microwave-safe container. Heat up the clear soap in the microwave until it melts completely.

    • 2

Pour the melted mixture into a bread pan, filling it no higher than halfway. Let the soap and honey mixture sit in the pan until it forms a thin skin on top.

    • 3

Melt the goat's milk soap in the microwave. Pour the goat's milk soap in with the clear soap and let the mixture cool.

    • 4

Put the soap mixture in a refrigerator once it has completely cooled. Leave the bread pan in the refrigerator for four hours.

    • 5

Remove the pan from the refrigerator. Blow-dry the top of the pan until the soap releases from the pan.

    • 6

Cut up the soap into bars, or use cookie cutters to make different shapes.
