Instructions

    • 1

Clear the wood table of any objects and wipe it down with a simple cloth.

    • 2

Wrap the 120-grit sandpaper around the sandpaper block. Put on the dust mask to protect your mouth and nose from dust particles.

    • 3

Begin sanding down the table by rubbing the block against the wood surface with the grain of the wood. It is very important that you follow the grain of the wood. If you go against the grain, you can further damage the table.

    • 4

Feel the wood table with your hand and locate any rough spots. Run the sandpaper over these spots to smooth them out.

    • 5

Take the 120-grit sandpaper off the block and replace it with the 150-grit sandpaper. Wipe the table with the cloth to remove most of the existing dust.

    • 6

Sand down the wood table with the 150-grit paper until the surface is uniformly smooth to the touch.

    • 7

Remove the 150-grit sandpaper from the block and replace it with the 220-grit paper. Wipe the table with the cloth again.

    • 8

Perform the final sanding with the 220-grit paper. Gently rub the paper across the surface of the table to give the wood a very fine finish.

    • 9

Sweep off the wood dust left behind by the sanding with a cloth or vacuum it with a shop vacuum.
