How to Load Game Cube Games on a Wii

Out of the box, the Nintendo Wii can be used to play Game Cube games. The game will run and perform the same way as it would on a Game Cube. The Wii also supports Nintendo Game Cube controllers and memory cards. When playing Game Cube games, a Game Cube controller must be used, as the standard Wii remote is not compatible with any Game Cube games.

Instructions

1. Turn on the Nintendo Wii. Wait for the Wii Channel menu to load.

2. Open the Nintendo Wii disc tray.

3. Insert the Game Cube game the same you would a regular Wii disc. Close the disc tray. When it appears, select the Game Cube game icon from the Wii Channel menu to load the game.
