How to Roll Towels

Roll your towels to save storage space.

If you are looking for a new way to store and display your bath towels, try rolling them up and placing them in a basket instead of simply folding them and setting them on a closet shelf. Rolling your towels also saves space by allowing you to stack more towels in a small area. This method is especially convenient for travel because it prevents the towel from wrinkling inside a suitcase or backpack.

Things You'll Need

• Ribbon or thread (optional)

Instructions

1. Spread the towel out on a table or other flat surface. Smooth out any wrinkles with your hands.

2. Fold the towel into thirds lengthwise. Smooth out the wrinkles again.

3. Roll up the towel from one of the short sides. Keep the towel tight, but not so tight that you are stretching it out as you roll.

4. Wrap a colored ribbon or thread around the towel if you want to add a decorative touch.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep the loose side down if you are putting your rolled towels out for display.
