How to Make Beautiful Fashion Doll Shoes
Homemade fashion doll shoes can be a beautiful addition to a doll collection, either for a collector or a little girl. Making doll shoes requires a few basic items and embellishments and can be created by even novice sewers. With a few tips and some know-how, you can create doll shoes of varying fabrics, styles and colors.

Measure the doll's entire foot with a measuring tape. Measure from the heel to the toe, the length from one side of the foot to the other and the area around the entire rim of the foot.

Trace the the shoe pattern onto a piece of fabric. Felt works well for this project. The shoe will require two pieces. One piece should be the size of the entire rim of the foot, which will make the sole of the shoe. The other piece should also be the shape of the rim of the foot, with an extra half inch added to allow space to stretch across the foot. This piece will make the top of the shoe.

Cut out the shoe pieces from the fabric. Cut out a hole from the top piece big enough for the doll's ankle to fit through.

Sew the two pieces together, one on top of the other, around the edge of the circles. Turn the shoe inside out so the rough seam you have sewn is on the inside, which will make the outside seam smooth.

Repeat the entire process so there is now a set of shoes.

Decorate the shoes however you wish to match your doll's clothing. Glue on buttons, beads and sequins to add style.

The decoration step of the process is a perfect way for kids to get involved.
Make sure the seams are sewn tightly to prevent fraying.
