How to Back Up iTunes
Backup music, videos and apps that you purchased in iTunes to protect yourself from data loss in case of computer problems. You can store a backup copy of iTunes on an external CD or DVD, and restore your purchases from iTunes later. To minimize the number of CDs or DVDs that you need for each backup, consider doing incremental backups of only the recently purchased songs and applications from iTunes after you have done a full iTunes library backup.
