How to Get Rid of Salt Stains on Uggs
Salt stains are a common problem on Ugg boots, as many people wear these boots during snowy winter months when road salt is spread across sidewalks and roads. Uggs are an expensive purchase, and when you are able to maintain the appearance of the shoes and remove stains, you will get several years of use from the Uggs. Removing the salt stains is a fairly easy process, requiring a few common household ingredients that are present in most homes. Does this Spark an idea?

Rinse a cleaning rag with warm water and wring it out.

Pour a drop of mild dish soap onto the edge of the rag.

Rub the soap gently over the salt stains, rubbing in small, circular motions. Continue as needed, applying extra soap as necessary to remove all of the stains.

Remove heavier stains by combining 1 cup warm water and 1 tbsp. vinegar in a cup. Dip the cleaning rag into the solution and rub gently over the Uggs.

Rinse the cleaning rag with warm water again, and wipe the Uggs to remove the soap, vinegar and lifted salt residue. Allow the boots to air dry.

Brush the boots with a suede brush to restore texture to the exterior suede of the Uggs.

Tips & Warnings
When cleaning dyed Uggs, test the vinegar solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the boot to make sure no discoloration occurs.
