Change the Screen Saver Resolution

Working on small laptops, or any monitor with a small screen resolution, could cause screen savers to appear out of focus. The average screen saver is designed to fit a 600 x 400 screen; therefore, screen savers on laptops and netbooks, at a lower resolution than that, could show unfavorable resolutions and pictures. Luckily, you can change the resolution on most screen savers, to fit your computer monitor.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to your Start button on your taskbar.

    • 2

      Click "Settings," then "Control Panel."

    • 3

Select "Display" from the Control Panel area.

    • 4

      Choose the "Screen Saver" tab.

    • 5

Locate the screen saver desired from the drop-down list of screen savers preloaded, and select it.

    • 6

Click the "Settings" button to change to your desired screen resolution. Click the "Apply" button to save your settings.
