How to RIP DVDs Using Nero 8
Nero Version 8 is a suite of CD/DVD creation software that includes an optical disk authoring application, the Nero Burning ROM program. Nero Burning ROM v8 burns CDs and DVDs, and copies, or rips, CDs and DVDs for saving to a hard drive or burning to another DVD. The Nero CD/DVD creation software is easy to use and enables the user to quickly rip and copy CDs and DVDs with just a few clicks.

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Nero Burning ROM" from the Programs list.

Insert the DVD to be ripped into the CD/DVD drive, and allow the computer to find and list the disk in the drive.

Click "DVD" from the drop-down box in the top navigation bar. This selection will enable the DVD options in the left navigation pane.

Select "DVD Copy" from the left navigation pane. The DVD Copy interface will appear.

Click the "Copy" button on the bottom of the interface. The computer will copy the contents of the DVD in the drive to a temporary location on the hard drive for burning. A progress window will indicate when the copy process has finished; and, once finished, the CD/DVD drive will automatically eject the original DVD.

Insert the blank DVD into the CD/DVD drive, and click the "Next" button. The Nero application will burn the original DVD contents to the blank DVD, thus ripping the original DVD to the new DVD.

Test the DVD by playing it in a compatible DVD player.
