How to Copy & Paste HTML

Save

HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is a type of code that is widely used throughout the web. It allows programmers and designers to format content as well as display images and video. The code acts like any other text on a computer, in that you can easily move it around with copy and paste functions. It takes a minute or two to get the hang of copying and pasting HTML code.

  • Highlight the HTML code that you want to copy and paste.

  • Right-click on the HTML that has been highlighted. Click the "Copy" option.

  • Find the spot where you want to place the HTML code. Put your cursor in that location.

  • Right-click and select the "Paste" option. The code will appear.
