How to Use Skype If My Headset Microphone Is Not Working
Skype is a hugely communication software which allows its users to make free video calls across the Internet. Some choose to use Skype with a headset microphone for improved sound quality but if the computer has a built in microphone you can use it instead. Changing the settings of Skype to use the built in microphone is easy and should not take longer than a minute.

Run Skype and click "Tools" > "Options."

Click the "Audio Settings" tab.

Click the drop down tab next to "Microphone."

Select "Internal Microphone" or "Built-in Microphone" from the list.

Click "Save" at the bottom of the window to apply the new settings.

Test the new settings by making a test call to the "Skype Test Call" contact in your contact list.

Run Skype and click: "File" > "Preferences."
